It was 1926 in Rockaway, New York when Albert Beardsley began purchasing pulp magazines off of his local newsstand. Over the next 9 years, Albert built this collection of 168 pulp magazines, most of which were published by Hugo Gernsback.

Thanks to Albert and the care of the Beardsley family, the collection has maintained it’s exceptional condition and integrity for 97 years until the collection was purchased by Vintage Pulps in 2023.  

I have been collecting and dealing in pulp magazines since 2006 and have purchased several original owner collections. This is by far the best I have ever owned in both condition and documentation. The purpose of this page is to preserve & document The Rockaway Collection so whoever owns a piece from this collection will know it’s roots.
